America’s Zero Carbon Action Plan
Role: Elevate Team Reviewer
The Zero Carbon Action Plan (ZCAP) serves as a roadmap for the U.S. based on the latest modeling, research and understanding of decarbonizing six key sectors (power, transport, industry, buildings, food and land use, and materials) supported by technical pathways to zero carbon by 2050, as well as supporting policy recommendations. The ZCAP is a project of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network.
Chicago Building Decarbonization
Role: Facilitator
The Chicago Building Decarbonization Working Group is tasked with crafting recommended policies and programs for an equity-focused building emission reduction strategy. This effort is a significant step towards the City’s commitment to the Paris Climate Agreement and power 100% of buildings citywide with renewable energy by 2035. This project is supported by the Bloomberg American Cities Climate Challenge.
Rogers Park / Howard Street Corridor Development
Role: Remote DIY Toolkit Lead
The City Open Workshop team collaborated with the Metropolitan Planning Council on the Rogers Park Corridor Development Initiative. The City Open team led the block exercise (community meeting #2) for which the team designed an in-person, virtual and DIY toolkit to engage the Rogers Park community on their priorities and create different development scenarios.
